The base has a smooth ball bearing mechanism that allows it to revolve with ease. The base is made of cast iron to prevent the stand from falling and allowing it to revolve easily. The base also has a silicone bottom for a steady grip. The 12-inch turntable allows for the displaying and serving of even the largest cakes.
