It uses Vollrath's special direct contact heating system to provide the most efficient heat transfer possible by keeping the heating element in direct contact with the water. Independent test results have shown that the Vollrath 71001 Cayenne full size countertop warmer holds food products well above the FDA's Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) "danger zone" (between 41-135 degrees F).
This countertop warmer uses a cast-in non-stick dome heating element controlled by a capillary tube thermostat that supplies constant temperature and power only when it is needed. The well inside the electric countertop warmer is 6" deep and made from a thermoset fiber-reinforced self-insulating resin that saves energy and is easy to clean. It has recessed controls, a low-water indicator light and sits firmly on non-skid feet. This electric countertop warmer runs on 120 V and 5.8 Amps for 700 Watts of power and has a 6' cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug.
